Mission workers back in Canada

Winnipeg, Man. - Several Mennonite Church Canada Witness workers are back in Canada for a few months, visiting family and speaking in churches.

Tim and Cindy Buhler and children are away from their ministry in Hong Kong from May 18 until August 24. Their home congregation is Northview Community Church in Abbotsford, B.C. Rod and Kathi Suderman and family will be away from their home in Beijing, China, from June 1 until August 24. Their home congregation is Aberdeen Mennonite Church in Saskatchewan.

Marlow and Vicky Ramsay and children left their work in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, on May 31 and return August 26. Their home congregation is North Langley Vineyard in B.C. Brian Dyck and Lynell Bergen and family, from Arnaud Mennonite Church in Manitoba, will be in Canada from September to January. They are working in Umtata, South Africa.

Todd and Jeanette Hanson, working in China, will be in Canada from August to January. They are connected with Tiefengrund Mennonite Church and the Prince Albert Alliance Church in Saskatchewan. Omar and Ester Cortes-Gaibur and family, working in Santiago, Chile, will be in Canada from July until March. They are from First United Spanish Mennonite Church in Vancouver.

These families ask for prayers as they relax and share what God is doing through their ministries.

CMU hosts first golf tournament

Winnipeg, Man. - Canadian Mennonite University is hosting its first Presidents' Golf Tournament on June 25. The event, at St. Boniface Golf Club, will raise money for CMU's new residence and renovation of the team locker room and weight room.

Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. with tee off at noon. Activities also include mingling with CMU staff, faculty and presidents Gerald Gerbrandt and John Unger; a silent auction and dinner.

"We want to use this method to connect with friends of CMU," said Len Sawatsky, director of Annual Giving. For registration details, contact Sawatsky at (204) 487-3300, ext. 612.
